AT&T sells AT&T Wireless to Cingular Wireless which is owned by SBC (60%) and BellSouth (40%) and the new company remains Cingular
AT&T merges with SBC and now owns 60% stake in Cingular Wireless
AT&T merges with Bell South and now owns 100% stake in Cingular Wireless
Cingular Wireless to change name to get this....AT&T Wireless.

I don't care. hopefully this means new phones all around again but I doubt it. AT&T had better watch it or they're gonna be in the same boat they were in 24 years ago.
