I found this on the XACT Communications website while looking for a replacement antenna for my satellite radio (a story for another day when I've calmed down)

Question:
My AC adaptor is warm. Is this normal?
Answer:
AC adaptors can get slightly warm while plugged in to the outlet. However, if your unit’s adaptor has become extremely hot has melted or sparks are coming out of the outlet, unplug the unit immediately. Do not attempt any reset procedures. The unit should be returned to the service center for replacement.
